Our Story
Founded in 2015, Kata Seafoods was built on a deep-rooted connection to Canada's fishing industry. Our President was raised in a small fishing village in Northern Quebec, just a ferry ride from Newfoundland, where fishing was more than a livelihood it was a way of life. Coming from a family with generations of experience on the water, seafood has never been just a business. It is part of who we are.
That foundation has helped shape our approach to the industry. Through hard work, honesty, and a commitment to building strong relationships, Kata Seafoods has grown into a trusted supplier serving customers across North America and international markets. Since our founding, we have sourced and sold millions of pounds of premium seafood while developing a global network of customers, harvesters, processors, and industry partners.
